One Simple Design

Dell Studio One 19 is an all-in-one desktop computer that fits both the tower and monitor into a stunning, space-saving design. The result is a simple, one-cable setup with substantially fewer cords and wires. And with an optional wireless keyboard and mouse, smooth design features and a choice of 4 color fabric trim options or one Solid Pure White trim border, the Dell Studio One 19 will fit seamlessly in your office, kitchen, family room or just about anywhere.

Begs to Be Touched

Flick. Grab. Stretch. Drag. Reach out and touch the Dell Studio One 19 desktop using the optional touch technology. Access your favorite media with user-friendly multi-touch applications in the Touch Zone.

  • Manage and edit your photos and videos, or upload directly to YouTubeTM  using TouchCam with a simple slide of your fingertip
  • Organize the entire family’s schedule with Cozi Family Organizer and leave notes for when they come home. This feature can be used with or without multi-touch capabilities
  • Inspire your kids’ inner artists with You Paint and other touch-friendly games
  • And that’s not all. Dell has also enabled multi-touch scrolling, panning and zooming across most other applications ― like Internet web browsers, Microsoft Word applications, spreadsheets and more ― outside of the Touch Zone

   See how multi-touch works.

Portable Storage

I purchased a Star Tech 2.5 inch, SATA enclosure and installed a 120 gig HD from a toshiba laptop with a cooked motherboard. The enclosure requires 2 usb connections, one for the 5v power and one for data transfer. It also has an E-SATA plug for quick transfers of large files. It came with a carrying pouch large enough for the enclosure and cables and fits snugly into a shirt pocket. First impressions are that this is my companion drive to my "survivor" thumb drive.

Week 1 is almost over

So it seems things are settling in to a comfortable routine. There is still a huge amount to learn, but it seems attainable with effort vs. Impossible last monday.

Snow is falling, wind is blowing, but hosting money for 2010 has started to arrive. Amazing how not even winter can supercede the arrival of money.

Day 3 of the new, Day Infinitive of the old

So the things that took half of a day on Monday, took 2 hours on tuesday, and an hour today.

If I keep halfing my times every day, by a week next tuesday I should be able to build it faster than the customer can describe it.

On a seperate note, Windows 7 clean install, what a pleasant suprise ..

KATG and Coffee

If there has to be mornings, then a fresh coffee from Tim Hortons and Keith and the Girl on the ipod, makes it bearable.
